WEBRE , Norman


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St.
Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in Kraemer for Norman J. Webre, 69, a
native of Edgard and resident of Kraemer, who died at 7:50 p.m. May 12, 1999.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Nettie Rodrigue Webre; father of Craig Webre, Cheryl
Becnel and Carla Kliebert; brother of Frank B. Webre Jr.; and grandfather of
Jeremy J. and Joshua P. Becnel, and Leah E. and Luke A. Kliebert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank B. Sr. and Marie Yvonne
Waguespack Webre; brothers, Joseph B. and Robert L. Webre; and sister, Vivian
W. Prestenback.

He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church.

He was a U.S. Navy BT2. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and
Woodmen of the World in Thibodaux.

He enjoyed restoring antique cars and riding motorcycles.

He was retired from Caire and Graugnard in Edgard.

Samart Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

WEBRE, Mildred Marie Gravois "Millie"

VACHERIE - Mildred Marie Gravois "Millie" Webre, 74, a native and resident of
Vacherie, died March 30. She was the wife of the late Roy Webre and mother of
Veronica Marchese and Roy Webre.

She was also the daughter of the late Felix and Effie Steib Gravois and sister
of Lydia Labat, Anne Granier, Virginia Laiche and Francis, Philip, Edwin and
Allen Gravois.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Services were April 2 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, South Vacherie, with
interment at the church mausoleum.

WEBRE ,Inez Rosalie Tassin

 MARRERO - Inez Rosalie Tassin Webre, 87, a native of Edgard and resident of Marrero, died Nov. 17. She was the wife of the late
Charles Antoine Webre and mother of Judy Livaudais and Fredric, Emory, Donald and the Rev. Joseph Webre.
 
She was also the daughter of the late Charles and Evelina Breaud Tassin, stepdaughter of Anne Millet Tassin and sister of Pat
McGinty, Sue Mele, Marilyn Lebeuf, Anthony Tassin and the late Florence Blanchard, Lucille Smith, Edna Rodrigue, Jeanne Adkins and
Yvonne, Charles Jr., Rene, Robert and Marcel Tassin.
 
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 20 in the chapel of Westside Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment at Westlawn Park Cemetery, Gretna.

WEBRE , Stephen

RESERVE - Stephen Webre, 84, a native of Edgard and resident of Reserve for 54 years, died Nov. 21. He was the husband of the late
Lucille Rousselle Webre and father of Dianne Waguespack and Stephen and Russell Webre.

 He was also the brother of Cecile Holmes, Rene and Theodore Webre and the late Isma Keller and Dudley Webre.

 He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 24 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery.

, Edwina Trosclair

Edwina Trosclair Webre, 94, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2001.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Adamietz and Cora Lee McMillan; one sister, Irene Clement; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Webre Sr.; her parents, Leonce Trosclair Sr. and Celina Folse Trosclair; two sons, Richard "Dickie" and Junius L. Webre Jr.; one brother, Leonce Trosclair Jr.; and two sisters, Lucille Becnel and Gladys Daigle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard for David Guy Webre, 89, a native of
Edgard and resident of Vacherie, who died at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 17, 1999.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Maria Rougee Webre; and father of Sandra Webre Tregre
and Janice Webre Dantin. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha Tassin Webre;
brothers, Raphael, Alcide and Richard Webre; and sisters, Henrietta W. Caire,
Theresa W. Borne and Mariel W. Tassin.

He was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in
Vacherie.

He was a military veteran and a member of Woodmen of the World Lodge 494.

He was retired from St. John Parish Utilities.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

A retired school teac her in Iberville Parish with 38 years of service and a resident of White Cas tle, she died at 9:03 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Magnolia Place Nursing Home, Lafayette. She was 85, born Sept. 16, 1913, in White Castle. Visiting at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, White Castle, 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Jules Brunet. Interment in White Castle Cemetery. Survived a daughter, Carole Mury Higgin botham, Lafayette; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and KarenMury, Baton R ouge; four grandchildren, Jim and wife Shanna Higginbotham and Bill and Amy H igginbotham, all of Lafayette, and Michael and wife Mischa Mu ry, Baton Rouge; four great-grandchildren, Ross and Grant Higginbotham, both of Lafayette, and Lauren Mumfrey and Garret Mury, both of Baton Rouge. Essie Webre Locascio

Essie Webre Locascio, 91, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Napoleonville, died on Monday, Aug. 20, 2001.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Frank and John Locascio; two daughters, Frances Blanchard and Betty Robichaux; one brother, Francis "Pipi" Webre; three sisters, Marie Toups, Geraldine Miller and Garnet Boudreaux; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Locascio; her parents, Eddie and Amy Boudreaux Webre; three brothers, Eddie "Buddy" Webre, Preston Webre and Calvin Webre; and one sister, Winnie Dillon.

She was a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville
